will be on Sunday Dec 4th at 12.30 pm at the club. All Welcome. If
bookings lead us to expect a reasonable number of children than
there will be a Santa. Tickets are £13.50, Children under 12

This years AGM will be held
at 14:00 at the club on the 27th November.
02/11/2011 - Bonfire Night
This years bonfire will be
lit at 17:30 on Saturday 5th Nov. Slot from air traffic control for
fireworks from 18:00 so dont be late. Hot Soup and Rolls
provided.
13/9/2011 - Dinghy Race Training
Day
The rough weather might
have put some people off but did little to deter LSC Dinghy
sailors who rewarded us with this amazing photograph.
Please be aware the that
Garston Rocks channel starboard mark buoy, has been removed due to
dredging activity. The Red Port cone (nearest to the rocks) remains
in place. Members are reminded of the dangers of Garston
Rocks. If anyone is unsure on the correct channel please ask an
experienced member.

Frequency
Please be aware that the new
club prefered frequency that will be used for boat to boat use is
channel 73.
13/6/2011 - Fathers Day Barbercue
The Social Committee are planning a BBQ
for Fathers Day Sunday 19th June. As HW is about 14.40 hrs they
propose to light up about 17.00hrs after a sail, or if weather
not suitable for that a Blokart session. Please contact Steve

Russell Cummings of the Liverpool Yacht Clubwho is planning a cruise to
Devils Bankon Saturday 28th
May. Their cruising section intend to go ashore on the
bank (Probably around G9 buoy) for a barbecue and games on the
sand. LW is1529. He has invited any club member(s) who

8/5/2011 - Cruise and Pub Lunch to Eggy - Sat
14th May
This is the beach shortly
before New Brighton; it is a sandy beach and seems a quieter
anchorage than New Brighton, HW Eastham 0910 8.9 m and 2149 9.0 m;
LW Gladstone Dock 1558 1.5 m.Aim to get away around 1030, ETA
back at the club 1830.
Buoyage now laid for the approach to
Garston Channel. Please take great care as the channel may yet move
again. If you are unsure leave plenty of water and watch your
sonar.
23/4/2011 - Please be aware that the Channel
past Garston Rocks into Garston Channel has changed considerably
over the winter and seems to be still in a state of change. The
situation is under review but please Navigate with
caution.

-The Fitting out
Dinner will be held on the 21 May at
the clubhouse at a price of ?15 per person. There will be a

Good news we have formally been given
the Dinghy training recognition now and can run many courses.
Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work and thanks
also needs to go to the RYA Training Centre at Pilkington
Sailing Club for all the help they gave us with the paper work
and initial
admin.
04/4/2011 - Safety and Workboat Launch Demo - 9/10th Apr
Howard will be demonstrating the new
twin winch launching process that will allow SB1&2 and WB1 to
launch into shallower water than presently. Cox's and crews
are recommended to attend, it will make your life easier! Contact
